Do I need to be an O'Fallon resident to rent a container?
Yes, you must be a City of O’Fallon resident who receives residential trash service. In addition, your account must be in good standing at the time of reservation. Sorry, this service is not available to commercial customers.
What are roll-off containers? Why may I need one?
Roll-off containers are large, trailer-sized containers for trash. They are often used for remodeling, large clean-out projects or major outdoor projects. You commonly see them at construction sites. These steel containers are extremely durable and have an open top for easy loading. Containers also include a door that opens for easy loading if needed. A roll-off container is delivered by a City of O'Fallon truck and rolled directly onto your driveway.
What else do I need to know?
Because roll-off containers can become extremely heavy, they can do some damage to driveways. This is rare, but can occur. Anyone renting a container will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging that the renter accepts this risk. This process will be explained to you when you set up your reservation.
In order to protect your driveway, you may want to lay down plywood under where the wheels of the container will go.
Also, please keep in mind that loading a 30-yard container can be extremely challenging. A 20-yard container is usually large enough and may be much easier for most residential jobs.
