Training

The O'Fallon Police Department currently manages training for 120 full-time officers and approximately 39 civilian staff. The Training Section schedules all training and keeps training records on all department employees.

The State of Missouri requires that all officers receive a minimum of 24 hours of certified training every year. In addition to meeting the state training requirements, officers and civilian staff attend numerous specialized courses and conferences throughout the year. The O'Fallon Police Department regularly sponsors training for other agencies. The Department has a fully-functional classroom facility for 70 students.

Fiscal Management and Police Supply

The Police Budget and Procurement Coordinator serves as the Department liaison to the City's Finance Department. All matters related to fiscal, budgeting and procurement are referred to the Police Budget and Procurement Coordinator. This includes assisting in the development of the Police Department budget, maintaining the fund accounting for each division and procuring the supplies, uniforms, and equipment necessary for the civilian staff and officers.

Police Fleet

The O'Fallon Police Department fleet has 62 vehicles. The fleet consists of patrol vehicles, unmarked cars, K-9 vehicles, Animal Control trucks and D.A.R.E. vehicles.

The Department has three Harley Davidson motorcycles in the fleet to enhance the Department's subdivision patrols. Currently, the City staffs a Fleet Manager and a Ford and Harley Davidson Certified Mechanic that handles the maintenance and non-routine repairs of the vehicles.
