Evan Simpkins has been with the City of O’Fallon for two years. You're most likely to see him at the Renaud Center, the City's indoor recreation facility, where he works at the front desk and serves as Assistant Camp Director.
Regarding his artwork, Simpkins explains, "Working at the Renaud Center, I have seen so many different artists showcase their work and it’s an honor to be one of them. My works range from portraits to large landscapes. I try to capture thesublime of nature in many of my works. There are many different art forms but my favorite, by far, is painting. I use oil and acrylic paints to capture the sense of depth and movement in a scene. I enjoy painting landscapes as most of my works try to capture the surreal and the sublime in nature."
